Broadway Theatre League of Utica has announced a scrumptious line of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory-inspired cupcakes, brownies, and cookies made by Downtown Utica’s favorite sweet shop, Chef’s Express.

Starting  Monday, January 24th, Chef’s Express, located at 241 Genesee Street, will unveil three playful treats baked and designed around Broadway Utica’s upcoming performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Theater lovers can sink their teeth into a rich, double chocolate brownie with a golden ticket, taste the sweet, candy-coated goodness of the dazzling chocolate room with a pure imagination cupcake, or bite into a twisted tunnel of chocolate chips, brownie, peanuts, and toffee swirled into a scrumdiddlyumptious cookie.

“As passionate innovators, it made perfect sense for Chef’s Express to combine the imaginative world of theater with delectable treats that directly connect with its audience,” Danielle Padula, Executive Director for Broadway Theatre of Utica League stated. “We are excited for everyone to taste the pure imagination that rises in Chef’s Express, particularly in their new line of Charlie treats.”

In honor of this creative debut, Chef’s Express is providing all Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ticket holders with a complimentary inspired treat. For those looking to stay in the wonderment long after Broadway Utica has closed the curtain on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chef’s Express will continue to sell Charlie treats, and honor tickets, through Friday, February 11th.
