Empowering Youth Through Theatre: How To Survive Middle School with Robert Post

As the Broadway Theatre League of Utica continues to expand its educational outreach, there’s an exciting event on the horizon that promises to engage, entertain, and inspire the youth in our community through our newly formed program Utica Worx.  On October 23rd, we’re thrilled to host the multi-talented performer, Robert Post, as he shares valuable insights on how to navigate the challenges of middle school.

Robert Post is not your average performer. With a unique blend of comedy, storytelling, and life lessons, he has captivated audiences across the nation. His ability to connect with young people and address the issues they face makes him the perfect guest for our educational program.  Middle school can be a tumultuous time for young students as they transition from childhood to adolescence. It’s a phase marked by academic challenges, social dynamics, and personal growth. Recognizing the profound impact that theatre can have on young minds, Utica Worx is committed to using this universal space to empower our youth.

On October 23rd, fifth and sixth graders in local area schools are invited to join us for an unforgettable experience. Robert Post will take the stage to share his personal journey through middle school, using humor and relatable anecdotes to ease the fears and anxieties that often accompany this transitional period. Through his performance, students will learn valuable lessons about resilience, self-confidence, and the importance of embracing one’s unique qualities.

While Robert Post’s presentation promises laughter and entertainment, it’s important to highlight the educational aspects of this event. Theatre has a unique power to foster empathy, improve communication skills, and boost self-esteem. By introducing young minds to the world of theatre, we aim to equip them with the tools they need to not only survive middle school but to thrive in all aspects of their lives.  We encourage parents, teachers, and community members to support this initiative by bringing their 5th and 6th graders to The Stanley Theatre  on October 23rd. Together, we can create a positive and transformative experience for our youth, showing them that the stage is a place where they can find strength, resilience, and the inspiration to overcome any challenge.

The Broadway Theatre League of Utica and Utica Worx is proud to be a part of our community’s educational journey. By hosting Robert Post and his empowering presentation on How To Survive Middle School, we’re harnessing the power of theater to shape confident, resilient, and compassionate young individuals. Join us on October 23rd for an event that promises to make a lasting impact on the lives of our youth.
