BROADWAY UTICA CAN’T STOP THE BEAT AS THEY CELEBRATE HAIRSPRAY COMING TO UTICA! COME JOIN THEM WITH A NIGHT OF TRIVIA, KARAOKE AND A DRAG SHOW AT DELTA HOTEL ON APRIL 20th at 5P

Utica, NY – The Broadway Theatre League of Utica announces with much pride that they will be hosting a Trivia and Karaoke Night to celebrate HAIRSPRAY coming to Utica on April 26th & 27th. The Trivia & Karaoke event will be held at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Utica on April 20th starting at 5p with all proceeds to benefit the Q Center. The host for the evening is the fabulous Drag Queen Zarria Powell along with her girlfriends Yará and Stella Progress. The trivia portion of this event will be hosted by our local favorite personality, Andrew Derminio. All sound will be provided by Majestic DJ.
A $5 donation will gain you entrance into the event with all proceeds to benefit the Q Center. The Q Center at ACR Health is a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth, their families, and allies to gather, share, and receive support. Q Center programming promotes equality, celebrates diversity, provides resources that cultivate pride and leadership skills, and strives to create a safe and inclusive community for all. “We are so thankful for fundraisers like this in the community. As a non-profit we can use these funds to continue to provide services for LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults in the Utica area,” said Michael Kelly with ACR Health.
Trivia will start at 5:30p and can be played with no more than groups of 4. Each player will have to pay the entry fee. There will be three rounds with prizes given to the winners. Karaoke is unlimited and will take place in between each of the trivia rounds. Following the trivia portion of the evening, the night will end with drag performances by Zarria Powell, Yara and Stella Progress.
Delta Marriott will have a full menu and drink specials. There will also be several door prizes and basket raffles. You can pay at the door on the night of the event or in advance via paypal. Tickets to Hairspray presented by Broadway Utica at the Stanley Theatre on April 26th and 27th will be available at a discounted rate.
